Great place to be acquainted with Kobe Beef for the first time. The staff here are informative and attentive. We went for the Gourmet Set which should include around 300+g of various cuts. Might recommend a side if you want some balance to your meal. Located right next to the train station. Wouldn’t hurt to get a reservation, although you might get away without one compared with the others located closer to Kobe Station.

An incredible meal—one of the best I've ever eaten. The meat is divine, and the staff, including the owner's lovely wife, are super friendly. I've been twice and can't recommend it enough to anyone in Osaka.

We had such an amazing time at La Shomon — it was our first time trying Kobe beef in Japan and we couldn’t be happier with the service & food. All staff were lovely, very helpful and took the time to ensure we had an enjoyable experience. The food was incredible — we couldn’t stop saying it. Thank you for making our experience in Kobe so memorable.

Made a 30-minute drive from the main Kobe area based on the recommendation from a friend. It was our first time in Kobe and it was totally worth the special trip down. The vibes were really homely as you would expect from a home-ran establishment. The last boss and her son really made our night with their humor and it was really nice talking to them. The food was on a whole new level. We ordered their yume-no set which costs ¥8,200. There was a good balance between the fattier cuts and the leaner ones. Generally, it would’ve been enough for 2 people but we decided to order an extra 80g Kobe ribeye (¥6,000) and 120g wagyu chateaubriand (¥4,200) from their seasonal menu as we were impressed with the quality of their wagyu. The chateaubriand was my personal favourite as it was very lean and tender. We were very surprised to have spent less than $200 for almost 600g of wagyu and Kobe beef. The lady boss also gave us a dessert on the house. Very sweet of her. Overall it was a truly gastronomical experience. I would definitely make the trip back to Kobe just for this during my next trip to Japan.

During our trip to Japan, my wife and I stumbled upon the hidden treasure of La Sholom, and it turned out to be the perfect birthday celebration for her. Nestled on the second floor, this restaurant is a blend of elegance and warmth, making it an unforgettable dining experience. From the moment we stepped in, the staff greeted us with genuine warmth and friendliness. Their impeccable service made us feel right at home, and we were immediately drawn to the cozy ambiance. We were particularly impressed by their professionalism in handling the grilling of the Kobe meat, although they graciously offered us the option to grill it ourselves. Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the Kobe meat. It was nothing short of extraordinary. Each bite melted in our mouths, leaving behind a symphony of flavors that we simply couldn't get enough of. Accompanied by their delectable salad with a soy-infused sauce, every dish was a culinary masterpiece. What was supposed to be a quick dining experience turned into a delightful evening we didn't want to end. La Sholom's charm, combined with their exceptional food and service, made it impossible for us to leave. It's not just a restaurant; it's an experience that lingers in your memory. For anyone visiting Kobe or Osaka, a visit to La Sholom is an absolute must. Trust me, it's worth every moment and every bite.

Friend recommended this to me - staff doesn’t speak english well but they have menus and you can communicate very well with it and pictures. Food is superlative, great selection of cuts, steak cooked to perfection and at great price. You can spend less than 70$ per person and eat 7-10 different cuts or choose to go for a pricy but well worth Kobe fillet cooked by their chefs for you. Atmosphere is very classy and it’s not in a touristy zone so not a trap. It is AMAZING. Worth the day trip to Kobe and outskirts.

I came straight here to experience some authentic Kobe beef for the first time, and I was not disappointed at all. It’s close to the train station (~5 min walk), located on the second floor. I was told every night is busy and reservations are common, but I walked in and was seated immediately. I ordered Course B at ~¥8000 and it came with tons of slices of every kind of beef, a choice of a main dish, salad, and dessert. The beef lived up to the hype, as it just melts in your mouth. The texture and flavor was amazing, and with the little charcoal grill at the table, you can cook eat cut of meat exactly to your liking. As the meal progresses, the staff will bring out the next part of the meal course. The portions were perfect for two. For not much money, coming here for a taste of Kōbe beef is an absolute must!
